THE FLOCK · PASTURED LAYERS

Blue eggs, wild ground.

Cream Legbar and Whiting True Blue hens forage behind the cattle and sheep in our rotation — and lay eggs in every shade of blue. Fed certified-organic, soy-free feed grown and blended forty minutes from here.

THE BREEDS

Two breeds, one blue carton.

SKY-BLUE EGGS

Cream Legbar

An English heritage breed with a feathered crest and a serious knack for foraging. Active, alert, happiest working ground — and they lay eggs in a soft sky blue.

TRUE-BLUE EGGS

Whiting True Blue

A modern American layer bred from Ameraucana stock for one thing done well: large, vivid blue eggs, laid steadily — from a bird that still loves to range.

WHAT THEY EAT

Pasture first. Then the best feed we could find.

The flock follows the cattle and sheep through the rotation — scratching through what the herd leaves, cleaning up insects, spreading fertility as they go. It's the job chickens were built for. What pasture doesn't cover, their feed does: a certified-organic, soy-free layer ration — no soy, ever.

FEED PROVENANCE · NAMED SOURCE
Raub-Rae Farm — Brown City, Michigan

A Michigan Centennial Farm using certified-organic methods since 1991. They grow their own grains and blend the feed right on their farm, certified by the Global Organic Alliance — about forty minutes from our gate. raubraefarm.com ↗

BLUE SHELLS

Two blue-egg breeds means every carton is a gradient — sky to true blue. You'll know ours anywhere.

BEHIND THE HERD

Our hens aren't parked on one yard — they work fresh ground behind the ruminants, all season.

SOY-FREE ORGANIC FEED

Certified-organic, soy-free ration from a named local source — not a commodity mill.

HAND GATHERED

A small flock, gathered daily. Every carton passes through our hands, not a grading line.

THE EGG SHARE

A weekly subscription, straight from the flock.

Shares run weekly through the laying season — one or two dozen, your call. Share members get the flock's eggs first; extras sell by the dozen when there are extras.

EGG SHARE · WEEKLY
$9 / dozen

1 or 2 dozen every week, all season. Picked up at the farm. First claim on the flock's eggs — and the story behind them.

BY THE DOZEN
$10 / dozen

At the farm, as available — shares fill first. Worth asking; worth it when there's extra.

FLATS & NEIGHBOR POOLS
5+ dozen

Order five dozen or more and delivery is free within 15 miles of the farm. Split it with the neighbors — that's the point.
