THE CATTLE · RED DEVONS

Beef takes longer. That's the point.

The cow herd does the heavy lifting out here: big grazing pressure, big fertility, deep recovery. They're building the ground everything else stands on, and we won't rush an animal that's doing its job right.

HOW WE FARM · THE SHORT VERSION

One herd of Red Devons, kept whole for life, grazing first in the rotation and building the ground everything else here stands on. No grain, no hormones, no hurry: beef takes the time it takes, and we give it that time on purpose. The whole story runs deeper, from a ten thousand year partnership to what pasture does to the fat.

BORN HERE. LIVES HERE. ENDS HERE.

The best life we can give them.

When beef shares open, they'll come from animals born into this herd on this ground, raised inside their own social world, and harvested at home with the herd on the next pasture over. No transport, no auction barn, no strange yard at the end. An animal that has never known fear doesn't meet it on its last morning.

It's truly the best life we can give them before their sacrifice, and their sacrifice is our burden. We choose to carry it.

THE RECORD

Every cow, written down from birth.

Every cow here carries a living passport from the day it's born, same as the sheep: its ground, its moves, its herd. When shares open, you'll meet the animals right here, the way you can meet the lambs today.

HERD BUILDING · SHARES TO FOLLOW

No beef for sale yet. That's a promise, not a delay.

We could sell beef sooner by cutting corners, and we won't. Our steers get 24 to 30 months on pasture and come off when they're truly finished, not when a calendar says so. When the herd is ready, shares open the way the lamb did: capped to what the ground can honestly raise, first call taken in order. Leave your email and you're in line the day they open. One note when it matters, nothing else.

Founder lamb and egg families are already ahead of this list, and that's the deal.

While the herd builds.

The same ground, the same standard, ready now: seven founder lamb shares and weekly blue-egg shares.
